Reds romp to comfortable lead
There were goals galore in the first half of the match an after Lars Stindl broke the deadlock, Schlaudraff found the back of the net on four occasions, Stoppelkamp converted a further three times, while Schmiedebach added a goal of his own to cap off an impressive performance. Up against a select team made up of players from three local lower league sides, TuSpo Petershütte, Dostluk Spor Osterode and VfR Osterode, the Reds made easy work of their first competitive run out. It was a great start to Mirko Slomka’s pre-season preparations, while Jan Schlaudraff looks a good bet to retain his title as 96’s top scorer in the pre-season.
