Hannover 96: Vladimir Rankovic to join the Reds

New signing for 96: Germany U20 international Vladimir Rankovic (born June 27th 1993) will move to Hannover 96 from FC Bayern Munich in the summer.

Hannover 96 sign young talent from FC Bayern

Rankovic, who was been a member of the record champions’ youth academy since 2005, will receive a three-year contract, running until June 30th 2017. He has played in each of FC Bayern II’s 23 games this season in Bavaria’s regional league and was part of the first team’s summer preparations under Pep Guardiola. Germany U20 coach has recently called him into the squad on two occasions. Rankovic can play in midfield and on the right flank.

“Vladimir Rankovic has received some magnificent coaching while at FC Bayern. He has appeared in all of Germany’s youth teams over the past years and certainly be of great benefit to us with his technique, athleticism and assertiveness,” explained 96-sporting director Dirk Dufner. “He has made an early decision to join us in order to make the next step in his career and play Bundesliga football. We are convinced by his quality and are delighted that we can assist him in his development.”
