Belgian Sébastien Pocognoli has been a Red since yesterday and was involved in his first training session today with his new teammates. The left-footed player has already got his new nickname. ‘Poco’ is what his fellow players called him during the session. The left back arrives from Standard Lüttich and the 25-year-old played in that position in the game at the end of the training session. He impressed his new colleagues as well as manager Mirko Slomka with his forward runs and desire to get involved. The fans took a shine to him as well because straight after training, the new arrival took the time to sign a number of autographs and pose for photos.

Hannover 96 was established on 12th April 1896. In its long history, rich in tradition, the greatest successes have always come when the special bond between club and city, and between the club and its fans, was at its strongest. Because of that we have the club motto “NIEMALS ALLEIN” [‘Never Alone’]. The most glorious moments in the club’s history include winning the German championship in 1938 and 1954, as well as the Cup success of 1992. In their early days, 96 established themselves firmly in the Bundesliga. The stand out memories for the fans in recent years include the two seasons in the Europa league in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. In 2015/16 Hannover will compete in the Bundesliga for the 14th consecutive season.

Hannover 96 a été fondé le 12 avril 1896.
