Hannover 96 are delighted to be able to announce the capture of a further new signing just before the transfer window slams shut: American DaMarcus Beasley has signed a two-year contract with the Reds.

Handed the number 16
Bundesliga outfit Hannover 96 have clinched the signing of Da Marcus Beasley. He passed a medical examination and signed a two-year contract on Monday morning. “DaMarcus’ signing adds a further option to our squad. That is necessary for a long Bundesliga season – one in which we have made a great start, but one that will still bring many twists and turns in the coming months”, said 96 Sporting Director Jörg Schmadtke. Beasley has been handed the shirt number 16.

96 manager Mirko Slomka had been eyeing the 1.73cm tall player since during the World Cup in South Africa. “It is a positive sign for Hannover to be able to attract a further American national player. DaMarcus brings with him great international experience, and can help give us that extra push in the Bundesliga.”

Beasley is excited to have signed with Hannover 96: "I already know about 96 because I played a friendly here two years ago. It will be great to play for the same domestic team as Steven Cherundolo. The Bundesliga will be a fantastic challenge for me.”  The 28-year-old midfielder was previously at Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premier League.
